Deadweird
Come celebrate Halloween in Deadwood. Deadweird is a little crazy, a little spooky, and a WHOLE lot of fun! Make plans for the 12th annual Monster Ball with a live band and dancing; and the annual Costume Contest with more than $10,000 in cash and prizes for the best costumes on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. Both of these events are Free, so come in costume or just come to watch - it is quite the sight!

6-10 pm: Costume Contest & Party - Historic Franklin Hotel
Register for the contest in the Historic Franklin Hotel. Judging in the Franklin Hotel from 6-9 pm. All participants must register prior to judging. Winners are announced at 9:30 pm on the stage in the Historic Franklin Hotel. Music & Dancing from 6 pm-10 pm at the Historic Franklin. $10,000 In Cash & Prizes! Must be 21 to participate.
Deadwood Halloween Events For Under 21
Trunk or Treat - All Ages Welcome
Enjoy family-friendly trick or treating in Deadwood outdoors at the Days of '76 Event Complex – Trunk or Treat – All are welcome!
Treats from trunks of vehicles will be served from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Deadwood Chamber is looking for individuals and businesses that would like to give out candy at the Days of '76 Event Complex for Trunk or Treat. Those interested should plan to be at the Event Complex to be parked by 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26. Call the Chamber at (605) 578-1876 to sign up. Any business that is unable to participate but would still like to donate candy to be given away is encouraged to contact the Chamber for pickup/deliver arrangements.
