Messa di Gloria - one of Giacomo Puccini's earliest works. Though a sacred mass in style, it evokes operatic drama with its emotional depth, lightness of spirit, and rousing energy. Exhibiting the young musician's passion and tenacity, it was originally performed in the 1880s and all but forgotten, only to be brought to light again in the 1950s.
