Memorial Day Ceremony

American Legion Post 179 will be conducting their annual Memorial Day Ceremony on May 27, 2024 commencing at 1:00 pm sharp. Volunteers are needed for the placing of the wreaths, we need one active duty or veteran from US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force and US Coast Guard, additionally we need a member from the Legion, the SAL, the Auxilliary and the Riders, please respond as soon as as possible since the program will need to be put together by Wednesday. Our guest speaker will be Colonel Greg Kitchens, USMCR (Ret), our color guard will once again be provided by our local Transportation Security Agency, tents provided by Stuhr Funeral Homes, and our singer of the National Anthem will be Marylin Clifford.
