Hurricane Hazel slammed into the Grand Strand on October 15, 1954 as a category four hurricane on a full moon high tide and forever changed our area. This film, locally produced by Stages Video, reconstructs the impact of Hurricane Hazel on Myrtle Beach and Horry County through interviews with survivors, archival photographs and film footage.
The film is free to the public and will be shown at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 16th, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.
