Rain or shine, the day will start with the golf cart and bike parade, which begins at Sunrise Presbyterian Church and ends at Sullivan’s Island Elementary School. If you would like to be considered in the competition you MUST have a registration number for your cart or bike. Registration will be available at Town Hall from Monday, June 17 through Wednesday, July 3. Limited registration will be available until 8:30am at the starting line of the parade. Once registration is closed, you may still join the parade after the registered participants, but you will not be considered in the judging. Once the parade has concluded, we will have festivities at the finish line. Kona Ice is provided for all, the Fire Department will be there to hose down willing kids, and the winning carts/bikes will get their ribbons.
The Independence Day party at the park and fireworks are back! The event will start at 6:00 p.m. Bring a chair or a blanket and get ready for the big show! Music will be provided by the Shem Creek Boogie Band, with fireworks starting shortly after 9 PM. Please note, during such events, we do not allow dogs in the park and alcohol is prohibited.
Due to the influx of visitors to our Island during this holiday weekend we encourage all residents to plan their weekend carefully and consider your parking plan if you have guests. We encourage walking and biking to both events if possible. We will have extra law enforcement officers assisting us in directing traffic. As always, fireworks are strictly prohibited on Sullivan’s Island.

THE ROUTE
Carts and bikes will line up at 8:30am at Sunrise Presbyterian Church at 3222 Middle Street. At 9:00am carts will be led to exit the Middle Street side of the parking lot. At Station 28 1/2 Street the parade will turn left towards the beachfront and then right on Atlantic Avenue. The parade will end in the bus loop at Sullivan's Island Elementary School where they will be anonymously judged. Carts and bikes must be present to win.
