URI Botanical Gardens and Horridge Conservatory
About Us:
The University of Rhode Island Botanical Gardens, located at the north end of URI’s Kingston Campus, is a showcase for sustainable plants and sustainable landscape practices.
The URI Botanical Gardens and Horridge Conservatory are an educational resource for our community: students and professionals, scientists, teachers, and citizens.
Together with the Everett P. Christopher Arboretum, the URI Botanical Gardens encompass a diverse collection of plants from the northeastern US and around the world, adapted to grow well, with minimal inputs, in our climate and soils.
Our goal is to promote understanding and appreciation of plants in the landscape and in the natural environment, with the goal of a green, healthy, and beautiful world.
