The Yardbarkers

The Yardbarkers are a local band started in East Greenwich. Their music blends elements of indie rock, folk, blues, and classic rock. Consisting of 4 members, The Yardbarkers aim to achieve an expansive sound that combines both contemporary as well as archetypal influences. Some of the major influences for the band include Coldplay, U2, Tom Petty, The Backseat Lovers, The Killers, The Beatles, and  Deer Tick. Jason Pieroni plays drums, sings and writes original songs for the band. Jason’s biggest musical influences come from the world of Folk, R&B, Jazz and Pop. His musical style references artists such as Frank Ocean, Her’s, and Jake Bugg.  Max Pothier plays bass, sings backup and cowrites original songs. His musical prowess comes from a range of genres including Funk, Rock, Blues, and Jam Bands. Max Hagenburg plays guitar and cowrites/arranges original songs. His musical influences include Blues, Rock, Folk, and Indie Rock. Donovan Cassidy plays guitar, sings, and writes songs. His style reflects a range of genres including Indie Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Grunge and Blues. All four band members are Rhode Island natives and have been playing together for a year and a half at various venues in Newport, Block Island and East Greenwich. The band is currently writing and recording songs for an EP.
