A bold composer, a brilliant pianist, and an inventive vocalist, join Clarice Assad for a conversation regarding her background and composition process, as she discusses the creation of her newly commissioned piece premiering later that evening by PubliQuartet and mezzo-soprano Renée Rapier.

Join returning Festival Artist Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner for an invigorating afternoon piano recital. “A gifted virtuoso,” Sánchez-Werner quickly became a beloved pillar of the Newport Classical Music Festival, bringing technical prowess and passion to every electrifying chamber performance.

8:00pm - PUBLIQuartet performs a World Premiere
GRAMMY-nominated PUBLIQuartet, is joined by sensational mezzo-soprano Renée Rapier for the world premiere of GRAMMY-nominated Clarice Assad's new work "Whispers from the Pirate Queen."
