Kids’ play centers in Rhode Island can mean special playgrounds, bounce houses, rock climbing facilities, and so much more. There is something to suit every taste. From flying high at trampoline parks to enormous ice skating rinks, here are the best kids’ play centers in the state.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park, Providence, RI

Sky Zone Providence was completed in 2012, and you will find a variety of activities including educational classes, jumps, dodgeball, a SkyLadder, and something called GLOW nights. Plus, Sky Zone is perhaps best described as a trampoline park with some of the highest jumpings around, and there are a vast array of physical play options from bouncing to making your way out of a pit filled with 10,000 foam cubes.

United Skates of America, Rumford, RI

This 30,000-square-foot multi-recreational fun and play center offers a huge array of activities, from roller skating and laser tag to a climbing tower and all-you-can-eat pizza station. Popular events include glow parties, camps, birthday parties, team building excursions, and more. Plus, you can sign up for skating lessons, and there is room for up to 1,000 guests.

Rock Spot Climbing, Multiple locations

Born in 1998, Rock Spot Climbing was hatched out of an idea from owners, Nadav Minkin and Lary Norin: provide alternative physical and mental strengthening activities not normally found in gyms at the time. Plus, climbing is meant to relax the mind and help develop strength of concentration as well as physical strength, which is why it is such a great activity for young minds.

Launch Trampoline Park, Warwick, RI

Established in 2012, Launch Rhode Island is an indoor amusement center with trampolines, a climbing wall, laser tag, and a snack bar. You will also find activities like dodgeball, an obstacle course, an arcade, and a make-your-own pizza station. For sanitary reasons, though, no shoes are allowed on the facility and Launch requires you to buy special socks.

Adventureland Family Fun Park, Narragansett, RI

At this play center and fun park, you will find go-karts, mini-golf, a Victorian-style carousel, batting cages, basketball games, ice cream, popcorn, bumper boats, and more. The park was actually the brainchild of Raymond Kells and is a true RI invention. Plus, the park’s newest attraction promises to be bigger and better than before, and jumpers can jump up to 20 feet in the air with help from this new trampoline.

Impossible Dream, Warwick, RI

Founded in 1982, we have featured Impossible Dream before, and this outdoor playground was the brainchild of John D. Florio as an effort to provide chronically-ill children a magical place of play and respite from their illnesses. Luckily, sections of the playground are also open to the public and offer slides and climbing structures and interactive activities in a well-maintained facility.

Kidz Kastle, Warwick, RI

Featuring inflatable slides and jumps, as well as an indoor climbing castle with slides and poles, Kidz Castle offers a safe, sterile, indoor playground in which kids can play. In addition to jumps and slide, though, Kidz Kastle also provides a fantasy-themed kids town with a salon, school, and playhouses to explore and use.

Yawgoo Valley Ski Area and Water Park, Exeter, RI

This ski park and water park in one, offer white slopes in the Winter and wet adventure in the summer. The only ski area in the entire Ocean State, Yawgoo offers all-day passes and up to 12 trails on 36 acres during the cold months, and, in the summertime, you will get access to over 750 feet of slides, three pools, and a kid’s play center.
