Veteran's Day Hike

All are welcome to come along as we hike on a day to honor our veterans. Explore the Hilltop Trail, as we pass stages of forest regeneration, cavity-nesting bird boxes, and the remains of a springhouse.

Invite a veteran you know to join us. Bring your favorite trail snacks and your own drinking water. The hike is moderate in difficulty, three miles, with an option to take a shortcut. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Parking at the trailhead is near the entrance road to Bear Run Boat Launch. Turn left at the South Shore Park office (225 Pleasant Valley Road, Portersville, PA 16051) and go ½ mile. Overflow parking at the park office.
