ReelAbilities Pittsburgh Film Festival
Film Pittsburgh’s 12th annual ReelAbilities Pittsburgh film festival runs September 5 – 11, 2024, at the Carnegie Science Center and the Pittsburgh Playhouse with some films streaming online. The opening night film is Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story and features a welcome by former Pittsburgh Steeler, Ryan Shazier. ReelAbilities brings people together to explore and celebrate the lives and experiences of people living with disabilities and shows how we are all more alike than we are different. These engaging films are presented with open captions or subtitles, audio description, ASL interpretation, and other accommodations, free of charge. This exciting event also includes Q&As, an artist market, and inclusive and fun receptions.
Film Pittsburgh presents independent films from around the world, deepening audiences’ understanding of various cultures, expanding acceptance, and recognizing our common humanity. For more information about ReelAbilities Pittsburgh, visit FilmPittsburgh.org or call (412) 426-FILM.
