Meditation is a method to make our mind calm and peaceful. When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arises from within. In this class you will learn how to have a daily meditation practice, tools to overcome difficult states of mind, and methods to calm mental busyness and stress. Everyone is welcome. No experience is necessary.

Classes take place on Wednesday evenings, with the exception of Sept 25 when class will be canceled. 7:00-8:00pm at Common Space in Ardmore. $15 per class.
Classes are taught by Meditation Teacher Julie Francisco from Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia. Julie is a senior teacher and practitioner who has studied Kadampa Buddhism for over 12 years and she has engaged in extensive meditation retreat. She is a close disciple of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and a student on the the Teacher Training Program. An executive assistant at an international consulting firm by profession, Julie shows a clear example of how to be a modern, lay Buddhist practitioner in a busy city and presents Buddha’s teachings in an eloquent and inspiring manner.
