The Academy has again graciously provided their grounds for these festivities. We encourage everyone to walk to all events to mitigate parking issues.

Schedule of Events

9:30 am: Musical performance
Parking: Reserved parking for the elderly and handicapped is in the Glenn Field lot next to the turf field. Please arrive early as the entrance will be blocked for the parade route. All others should park on the west side (Buck Road) of Mitchell Performing Arts Center (MPAC), Asplundh Field House, or Pitcairn Hall. NO PARKING AT BENADE HALL, WEST SIDE OF MPAC or BACS LOT FACING TOMLINSON ROAD (reserved for parade and firetrucks).

9:30 am: Staging for the parade will begin on College Drive in front of the Doering Center and Swedenborg Library. Park at Bryn Athyn College campus parking lots. Toddlers and little ones with NON-MOTORIZED transport should assemble in the small lot on the Glenn Field (west) side of MPAC – no vehicle parking available. Young attendees will enter the parade route from the MPAC lot and will not have to travel along Tomlinson Road.

9:45 am Parade Formation: Tomlinson Road will be closed to vehicle traffic between Huntingdon Pike and the east entrance to MPAC. To access the staging area, please use College Drive during this time.

The parade will start at Tomlinson Road and College Drive proceeding east on Tomlinson Road. The Mayor will lead the parade followed by the Boy Scouts and enter the school entrance on the west side of MPAC. The non-motorized, young children will enter the procession from the MPAC lot and follow the Scouts. All motorized vehicles will be guided to follow the pedestrians and cyclists. BA Fire and Ambulance crews will be at the back of the procession for the safety of everyone.

10:00 am: The parade will go clockwise around the circle twice and end at Benade Circle. People may go back to the parking area if desired after the first rotation.

The parade will be followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem and 4th of July address. Following the speech and announcements, please proceed on foot across Buck Road for the races at the ANC football field. There are marked areas for safe crossing. The turf field (Glenn Field) will not be used for any activities.

11:30 am: Races and Egg Toss in the lower practice field (the field close to BACS and the tennis courts). The BA Fire Company will be in the front parking lot (in front of BACS) and providing water for children to play in.

2:00 pm: Horseshoe Contest at the BA Scout Building.
