Flag Placing Ceremony

Calling all Scout and Youth groups! Your assistance is requested in Gettysburg National Cemetery on Saturday, May 25, 2024, for the placement of American flags on the graves of those interred in the Cemetery. This is a long-standing tradition here at Gettysburg as we honor those who gave their lives in service to our great nation. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Please meet park staff and volunteers at the Taneytown Road entrance to Gettysburg National Cemetery, near the brick rostrum, at 8:00 am. to register your group for this event.

Flag placement will begin at 8:30 am, after a brief welcome and introduction to the cemetery and continue until all graves have flags, in both Gettysburg National Cemetery and the National Cemetery Annex. We look forward to having your assistance again this year!
