“Dat Dere” – A Tribute to the Music of Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers is a Philly based jazz sextet playing notable tunes in detail from the legendary jazz institution of the “Jazz Messengers.” For over 35 years, Art Blakey led the Jazz Messengers as a high class expression of American Jazz while adding dozens of ‘Standards’ to the Jazz rolodex and providing a launching pad for over 70 members who became stars in their own rights.rights.

The band is a collaboration between the horn front line of Chandler Judkins on Trumpet, Bill Saurman on Trombone & Anthony Nigro on Saxophones & featuring an all star rhythm section.
