Presenting The Last Dragon, an original rock musical fantasy, at the Portland'5 Winningstad Theatre August 8–10, 2024 at 7pm.
In the early 1980s a group of students and professors wrote, composed, and performed an original rock musical called The Last Dragon. It was well received, critically lauded and toured the Pacific Northwest.
Then, for forty years, The Last Dragon slept.
This experience shaped lives, careers, and everlasting friendships.
It is our honor to bring to Portland a reprisal of The Last Dragon with many of the original cast from the '80s. But this isn’t just about reliving the glory days. After production costs, all remaining proceeds and donations will go into a University of Oregon theatre scholarship fund.
We hope you'll bear witness as we help to bring the Dragon back to life for music, for the arts, and for the honor of these relationships and those we have lost along the way.
