Kalmiopsis Memorial Day Hike Weekend

Planning Save the Date for a Memorial Day Weekend Hike. The Kalmiopsis Leach Loop/Rim Trail in Southern Oregon is now open, this is a 44-50 mile loop that takes us around the rim of the central Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area (my backyard), steep trails, river crossings and a ton of natural history highlight this trail. We will start at the Vulcan Lake TH on the westside and hike counter-clockwise around the upper NF Chetco River. Solitude, miles and views are the nature of this hike.

May 25: 11 miles to Bailey Cabin or 14 to Carter Creek
