Greyhorse Vineyard
About Us:
In 1998 James Ragni planted 2 acres of Pinot Noir Pommard clones on their native roots in Yamhill and Willakenzie soil. James and Cynthia Ragni, owners of the property, named the vineyard after their grey Arabian. The first harvest was in 2000 and since then they developed and built the vineyard into one of the prime estate vineyards in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The 2011 and 2012 harvests will be part of the Griffin's Cuvee blend by Dobbes Family Estates Winery.
Jane Kneller purchased the vineyard Fall 2012. She and her husband Michael Losonsky are excited to continue and build on Jim and Cindy's legacy. Greyhorse is transitioning to an organic vineyard under the care and management of Stirling Fox. Winter pruning was completed January 31st.
