Tulsa Oktoberfest, Tulsa, OK
Enjoy an authentic Bavarian fest right in the middle of Tulsa. This spirited festival has been going on for almost four decades. It features bratwurst, German beer, Bavarian cheesecake, and authentic music.
Honobia Bigfoot Festival & Conference, Honobia, OK
Come to Kiamichi Mountian Mission Campground for storytelling and music related to Bigfoot. Attendees of this festival and conference believe that this mythical creature used to walk these hallowed grounds. Enjoy camping, helicopter rides and delicious food as you learn for yourself whether Bigfoot really exists.
Robbers Cave Fall Festival, Wilburton, OK
The best day to attend this festival is Saturday, when the Fall Foliage Cruise stops by. You'll get to see over 450 pre-1988 cars. But the whole weekend features some great entertainment. There's a quilt show, fantastic fall foods, amusement rides and over 200 arts & crafts vendors. On Sunday, there is always worship and gospel music.
Poteau Balloon Fest, Poteau, OK
Hot air balloon races and rides are the focal point of this annual festival in eastern Oklahoma. Other great events include mud pit races, monster truck rides, pet contest, carnival rides and great food. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket to watch the balloons take to the sky!
Beavers Bend Folk Festival, Broken Bow, OK
Enjoy historic arts, crafts, and music. Candle-making, quilting, soap-making and knife-making are a few of the skills you can explore. The folk music is set against a backdrop of a beautiful forest that is changing colors with the season. Kids of all ages can pet animals in the petting zoo. Czech Festival, Yukon, OK
This festival has been part of the community for over 50 years. It kicks off with a parade on Main Street, but the real draw is the kolaches, a made-from-scratch pastry with a fruit filling. We recommend peach or cherry filling, but they’re all good. Don’t wait to get your kolaches. Even though the committee works hard to make enough, it’s likely they’ll run out by afternoon.
Greek Fest, Oklahoma City, OK
Greek Fest is mostly about the food, but there’s a lot more to do than just eat some excellent spanakopita, melomakarono or tiropita. Tour the church to see the beautiful artwork, enjoy live music and dancing or shop in one of the boutiques that features Greek artisans.
