9:00 a.m: American Radio Relay League is having Region 5 Town Hall Meeting to help get us caught up on current events. There will be question and answer session with a discussion led by an ARRL Volunteer.
9:30 a.m: Build Class: Joe Eisenberg , world famous ham builder, will be here again for an exciting build class. It should be approximately a $10 project and take a couple hours to build. It will start at 9:00 am or when we get the crowd corralled into the build area.
10:00 a.m: Freddie Mac’ McGuire Jr - ‘The Ham Radio Crusader’ KD5FMU will be giving a presentation on AllStarLink 3. He hopes to discuss all the ins and outs of the newest version of the software and the hardware.
11:00 a.m: Steve McGrane, KM9G - Temporarily Offline Ham Radio is leading an open discussion on ‘Getting young people interested in Ham Radio’. This is particularly close to Steve’s heart because he has mentored 3 of his kids into wanting to enjoy the hobby. He has also been involved with at least two Yota, Youth on the Air, camps and supported their radio hobby after they came home. Two of his daughters also followed Steve down the YouTube path showing how to do Ham related things, Pota, Antenna Building, and CW mentoring to name a few.
12:00 p.m: Chuck Hast and Chris Chambers will be presenting Oklahoma DMR Society and Aredn. Discussion will include installation
1:00 p.m: License Testing - ($14) W5YI Volunteer Examiners will be available for FCC Technician, General, and Amateur Extra testing.
2:00 p.m: Give-Away Grand Prize - Yaesu FT-891
Grand prize drawing at 1400L. Prior to pulling the Grand Prize Ticket, All tickets will be added back to the hopper. The Grand Prize drawing will be done out of our large hopper and the winner will be the ticket pulled at random. If the individual is not present the radio or package will be delivered to the address on the ticket. The phone number, will also be called to determine the best way to accomplish delivery. If this cannot be determined by the information on the ticket another name may have to be drawn.
