Veterans Day Celebration
Honoring All our Military Personnel this Veterans Day
The YMCA has provided services to the military since the Civil War and continues to support military members and their families. On Monday, November 11, 2024, Countryside YMCA will give back to veterans by honoring all the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces at the Veterans Day event.
Flags for Heroes
In honor of our country’s heroes, we are filling our lawn with American flags leading up to Veterans Day. Celebrate the beloved service members in your life by adding a flag with their names. We just ask for a $5 donation. Proceeds help fund our Veterans Day event. Flags will be on display through November 11th.

Open to The Community
This event is free and open to the community. Reservations are not required, as we have moved this special event into our Main Gym, with overflow on the upstairs track. We especially welcome veterans, their spouses, and their children. The program, held at the Y’s Lebanon location, will begin at noon followed by a hot lunch and dessert table. Julie Fennessey, coordinator of the Countryside YMCA Stolle Center said, “We hold this program annually to honor all our veterans, and to recognize our local heroes.” The event is a full military protocol program.
