What is “The” Ohio Eggfest?

It is a grilling, smoking, barbecue and cooking competition that features the Big Green Egg grill. It is essentially one big food festival! 100% of the proceeds benefit cancer research!

A ticket to The Ohio Eggfest includes food samples from 30+ cook teams, no need to pick and choose you get to try them all! It also includes cooking demos & live music. There will also be local vendors, drinks, kids activities & more.

Cook teams gather from all over to show off their skills cooking on the Big Green Egg. It’s bragging rights for the cook team who takes home the Popular Vote Award; it’s legendary status for the cook team that takes home the Very Prestigious Award, Award. The Ohio Eggfest is also an excellent opportunity to purchase a once-cooked-on Big Green Egg for a discount otherwise unheard of while contributing to the future of cancer research and the community so gracious as to host the 10th annual, The Ohio Eggfest. 100% of the profit of EVERY Egg sale and 100% of EVERY donation, beverage & ticket sale at The Ohio Eggfest benefits cancer research, treatment & prevention through The Buckeye Cruise and The James Cancer Research Hospital. We have now raised $400,000 for cancer research at The Ohio Eggfest!

Along with the smorgasbord of food that will be available, there will also be this great entertainment!

North to Nashville Headlining!

North to Nashville performs at The Ohio Eggfest for the first time! Get EGGcited for this high-energy country band that delivers a fresh, modern sound infused with traditional country roots. Their major influences are Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Brooks and Dunn, and Old Dominion, and it shows in their original music.

We all know the food is going to be amazing, but make sure to take a break, grab a drink and get your dancing shoes on for these local Columbus boys.

Dave Powers

Two-time EMMY® Award winning composer, performer & local legend, Dave Powers will be joining us! Considered one of the most successful musicians in the Midwest, Dave manages to win over the hearts of all who hear him perform.

Ron Dimpflmaier "Captain Ron" Cooking Demos

Also joining us from Team BGE will be Ron Dimpflmaier aka, Captain Ron! Proud member of Team BGE & FOGO Charcoal, he will be serving up some deliciousness while hosting 2 cooking demos.

Hosting - Craig "Cmac" McPherson

Craig "Cmac" McPherson, a towering culinary expert and proud member of Team BGE, Fogo Charcoal & Arteflame. With his impressive stature and grilling skills, Cmac is set to be the 2024 host of The Ohio Eggfest, where he'll also be showing off his skills on the Big Green Egg.

Performance Dogs of Ohio (2 Shows!)

The Performance Dogs of Ohio is a talented canine entertainment group showcasing amazing agility, tricks, and stunts. With impressive skill and coordination, these dogs provide thrilling and heartwarming performances that delight audiences of all ages.

Awards
Cooks will be competing to win the “People’s Choice” award, as well as a professionally (but silently) judged award we have dubbed The Prestigious Award, Award – sought by many, acquired by only the finest of the few. The silently judged award winner will win a $1,000 Gift Card to Specialty Gas House. The People’s Choice award winner will win a Large Big Green Egg package. There will also be a mystery meat challenge if you would like to compete in it, we will provide the meat for that challenge on the day of the event.

Each ticket includes admission to The Ohio Eggfest, all entertainment including live music, cooking demos & more, unlimited food samples from each of the participating teams, water (alcohol and soda will be available for purchase), and a voting token to vote for the best cook! 100% of the proceeds benefit cancer prevention, treatment & research through The James Cancer Hospital and the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer.
