Running the Shores

On Sunday, September 8th, the Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Erie Shores Chapter will be “Running the Shores” in our inaugural 5K Run/Walk, benefitting the Jack and Jill of America Foundation and American Sickle Cell Anemia Association (ASCAA). We invite friends, family and the community to take the plunge with us for a day of friendly competition for a cause. The American Sickle Cell Anemia Association will also be on site providing information and free sickle cell trait testing. Check-in and onsite registration will open at 8:00 am, followed by recognition of the supported organizations, and special presentation honoring the late Dr. Edgar Jackson, pioneer of sickle cell research. Racers will set sails at 9:00am from Edgewater Park, where both individuals and teams are welcome.
