Independence Day Concert and Fireworks

In collaboration with our generous community sponsors, the Gilbert Reese Family Foundation, Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark warmly welcome you to the Independence Day Concert and Fireworks held annually on July 3.

The evening’s celebration begins with popular local musical groups performing outdoors on the campus grounds. The crowd-favorite fireworks display begins at dusk to the accompaniment of patriotic favorites performed live.

This event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free.​​ A number of local vendors will be serving food and beverages. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and blankets for a fun-filled evening of music and entertainment.

Entertainment Schedule:

5 p.m.: Food vendors open
5:30 p.m.: Licking County 4-H Band pre-show - John L. and Christine Warner Library and Student Center patio
6:30 p.m.: The Sticks and Stones - Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre
8 p.m.: Heisey Wind Ensemble - Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre
10 p.m.: Fireworks
10:30 p.m.: The Sticks and Stones encore - Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre
