Ed Jeffers Barber Museum
The Ed Jeffers Museum was started in Canal Winchester In 1988 With as little As 10 Pieces.Today it has grown to several thousand individual artifacts from as early as the 1700's.The Museum,with over 3500 sq feet,was created with the idea to preserve the barber profession.Ed Jeffers has been able to collect these rare items from all over the Country due to the several positions he holds.He has been on the Ohio Barber Board for over 33 years,an officer with the National Association of Barber Boards of america for over 30 years
and himself a barber for over 45 years.
Since it's beginning,the museum has seen visitors from more that 44 states and 8 Countries.It has been Featured on many television shows such as the Discovery Channel,The Family Channel,The Travel and Road show,Fox live and on television shows in japan.It has been in various magazines like the Smithsonian Magazine and even the front page of the wall street Journal (july 30,1999).The Museum has also appeared in numerous newspapers thorughout the country and the subject of many articles from the associated Press.
