Cherry Road Winery
Just two weeks after the winery opened in 2016, the Robinsons lost their beloved Dad, father-in-law and "Papa", Bill Broel, Sr. at the age of 83. While he was able to see the winery taking shape, he never got to meet the friendly people who have made the first six years such a wonderful success for our family. He would have LOVED it! Bill built the building that is now the tasting room in late 1960's, and later added the "big building" which is used for winter boat storage and unique indoor parking for the winery. Small storage units and a corner Amish produce stand were his final startup businesses on the property he loved dearly. In 2014, Bill's son-in-law and daughter, Fred & Judy Robinson bought the property with the idea of starting a winery. In all of his dealings with people, Bill was always fair, and treated others like every single stranger was his new best friend.
