We have the extraverted stepsisters, the lovable Cinderella, and the magical fairy godmother. Rather than having a wicked stepmother, we see a bumbling father figure. Instead of the Prince meeting Cinderella at the ball as himself, the Prince trades places with his servant and meets Cinderella in disguise because he wants to be loved for his heart instead of for his title. Ultimately, Cinderella teaches us that a pure heart can "rise from the ashes" to change the outlook of one's future. It is not what we own, but instead who we are that matters.
