Brimfield Township Memorial Day Ceremony

Memorial Day is Monday, May 27th and what better way to honor those who lost their lives while serving our country than to gather at our own Restland Cemetery at 8:00 am for a Memorial Day Ceremony. Bring a chair and park anywhere off to the side of the cemetery driveway.

Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades.

After the ceremony, stop by the Brimfield Lions Club Pancake breakfast from 8:00-11:00am or the Suffield Memorial Day Parade which starts at 10:00am.
