The Massillon Museum’s final Rhythms concert of the year will feature regional powerhouses - Cleveland-based Bethany Joy and Akron-based Blue Hour at 7:30 p.m.

As a captivating and emotive singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Bethany Joy performs original music spanning several genres including soul, jazz, blues, and R&B. She is a music educator, show promoter, open mic host, and passionate local music advocate. She has released an EP and a full-length album.

Blue Hour, an indie-rock band with a refreshingly varied sound performs songs ranging from country-tinged sounds with tender introspective vocals to moody, high-energy, guitar driven music. Blue Hour musicians are Justin Mills (vocals/guitar), Trevor Matthews (guitar/pedal steel), Kevin Vinci (bass), and Matt Modena (drums). Their most recent album is This Is the Dream.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and galleries including the new Stark County Artists Exhibition will remain open until the concert begins in Gessner Hall. The Paul Brown Museum within MassMu, featuring two football exhibitions and the Paul Brown/Massillon Tiger Football History Timeline, will be open.

Tickets ($12 each or $10 per member) can be purchased at MassillonMuseum.org/Tickets, in person, or by phone at 330.833.4061. Membership will be verified at the door; new memberships can be purchased at any time.

A cash bar and concessions will be available. ASL interpretation will be provided.

“Rhythms provides an intimate and accessible atmosphere for enjoying outstanding entertainment. We're looking forward to this show. It unites two fresh and engaging acts from Northeast Ohio, both regularly featured on The Summit FM,” says Dan Kane, Rhythms concert series chair.
