Her influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Tony Williams, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Billy Chobham, Chick Corea, Terri Lynn Carrington, Abbey Lincoln, Joni Mitchell, Stravinsky, Claude Debussy, ad infinitum.
