Walking Tour: Our Remarkable Lower East Side Women

Bid farewell to our exhibition, On the Lower East Side: Twenty-Eight Remarkable Women…and One Scoundrel, showcasing the work of artist Adrienne Ottenberg.

Join a Museum at Eldridge Street expert guide and take to the streets of the Lower East Side to learn about some of the women featured in the exhibit.

Throughout our historic building, Ottenberg’s portraits printed on silk or cotton banners float over a tableau of street maps depicting the Lower East Side at the turn of the century. On this walking tour, developed in conjunction with this exhibition, venture out into the neighborhood where these women worked and lived.
