In a career that stretches through seven decades, venerable bassist Cameron Brown has performed with countless legends, including Donald Byrd, Chet Baker, Betty Carter, Dannie Richmond and Don Cherry. His ensemble Danny's Calypso plays both original music and challenging compositions by jazz greats mashed-up into what Cherry called "cocktail suites."
