Springfield 4th of July Parade and Celebration

The Springfield 4th of July Parade kicks off its 110th year at 11:00am in Springfield Center, NY with a "Hometown Celebration"!!

Follow the parade to the Springfield Community Center for a patriotic celebration with Brooks’ chicken barbecue, homemade pie, music by the Cooperstown Community Band, 4th of July Quilt Show, historical displays, raffles, and more!

Free Parade Parking is available at the Springfield Community Center.

Established in 1914, Springfield’s 4th of July Parade is one of the oldest Independence Day parades in the country, welcoming fire departments, veterans’ groups, and community organizations from all over the region to be honored in a nearly hour-long parade featuring floats, marching bands, equestrians, and lots of surprises.

After the Parade and Celebration in Springfield Center, head to the beach at Glimmerglass State Park for a free Evening Concert featuring local rock band "Scattered Flurries" starting at 7:30pm, followed by a display of Fireworks at 9:30pm!

Springfield… the place to be on the 4th of July!
