Sleepaway Camp
Cinema Arts / Bowman & Butcher are proud to present a very special hometown screening of 1983 cult horror classic Sleepaway Camp featuring a live commentary by star Felissa Rose. Be prepared for a hilarious and unfiltered behind-the-scenes look at the production and making of the film.
SLEEPAWAY CAMP (1983):
After a tragic accident leaves her orphaned, shy teenager Angela Baker (Felissa Rose) goes to live with her eccentric Aunt Martha and her protective cousin Ricky. When the summer arrives, Aunt Martha sends them to Camp Arawak, a seemingly typical summer camp. But soon after their arrival, bizarre and gruesome murders start occurring around the campgrounds, and Angela becomes the center of attention due to her strange and withdrawn behavior. As tensions rise and the body count increases, dark secrets emerge, leading to a shocking and unforgettable twist that reveals the true nature of the camp’s horrifying events. (USA, 1983, 84 mins, R, English | Dir. Robert Hiltzik)
A native New Yorker, Felissa Rose was raised in nearby Syosset and graduated from Syosset HS, then went on to NYU. She’s excited to come home and join fans for a fun-filled screening with opening comments, live commentary, and a post-movie Q&A. Felissa encourages fans to dress the 80’s or as their favorite characters from the film. If you have never met her at a horror convention, you are in for a treat!
After the show, Felissa will greet fans in the Sky Room for a paid autograph signing session.
