Colored Silk: A Civil War Odyssey
From the 2023 off-Broadway season comes the story of Elizabeth Keckley, a formerly enslaved seamstress and dressmaker for Mary Todd Lincoln. Through America's earlier fashion, we meet Mrs. Jefferson Davis and Frederick Douglass. "Lizzie's" life of grit and glory is written and portrayed by Tami Tyree.
