Pickin' In The Pasture
Come to Pickin’ In The Pasture and experience four days of world-class bluegrass and real country music. The festival is held on the working sheep farm of Andy, Susan, and Jesse Alexander in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes Wine Country of NY State. The event focuses on many of the hottest new emerging entertainers in the country! Pickin’ In The Pasture is large enough to be able to feature a professional-quality stage show yet small enough to maintain a friendly family atmosphere.
Bring your RV or tent for the whole 4 days, or just spend a few hours enjoying the performances. There are plenty of camping sites on well-laid-out roadways. Porta-johns are well distributed throughout the campground. Water and solar showers are available. There are rain-or-shine audience tents in the stage area. A shuttle service transports fans between the stage and their campsites. A wide variety of reasonably priced foods are served on site. Coolers are allowed in the audience area but inappropriate behavior is not.
Pickin’ In The Pasture’s reputation as a great place to jam continues to spread. Every year people are amazed at the caliber of musicians in the campground. There are plenty of opportunities to jam for all levels of players from friendly beginner circles to hot late-night sessions that stimulate even seasoned professionals. After the stage show closes, listeners should treat themselves to a stroll through the campground to experience some of the great music being played.
