Learn from a bona-fide law expert how to become an Official State of New York Notary Public and exercise legal authority, duties and powers in an ethical and lawful manner.
This acclaimed professional program provides a comprehensive review of the New York State Notary Public role and delivers effective official state examination preparation. Two required textbooks (Notary Public Register and Recordkeeping Protocols and Notary Public Handbook: A Guide for New York) are included in the college registration fee and will be distributed to all registrants on the day of the event and reference in practice after appointment.
The New York State Secretary of State administers the proctored, written examination through the Department of State at testing sites in North Syracuse, Utica, Rochester and throughout the state on a regular basis, but not on the day of the training event.
The Cayuga Community College special guest faculty is Hon. Alfred E. Piombino. Piombino is a court expert witness, prolific book author and former SUNY college business law faculty. He is the renowned scholar on New York Notary Law and Practice and the original developer of New York State Notary Public educational programs at scores of colleges throughout New York, including Cayuga Community College. Space is very limited for this Central New York special author appearance and pre-registration is required. Purchase orders are accepted from governmental agencies.
