Music at Noon: Red Canna Trio
Red Canna Trio, chamber jazz trio - Red Canna Trio is a new chamber jazz trio playing the original compositions and arrangements of pianist/composer Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius and other modern composers. Joining the always-amazing Woodbury Kasius are the outstanding violinist Mitsuko Suzuki, a member of the Albany Symphony; long-heralded jazz mainstay Bobby Kendall on upright bass, and for this performance, vocalist Shari Seidman Parslow. Highly acclaimed, the group's music is "…sophisticated and melodic, reminding me of Sondheim and Stravinsky… But make no mistake, Woodbury Kasius has a clear and intriguing voice that is all her own and a pleasure to hear" (Janet Loudon, Glens Falls Post Star).
Since 1988, on the second Tuesday of each month from October to May, the free Music at Noon concert series has presented exceptional musicians with a diverse mix of musical styles.
Come listen, and bring your lunch! The Hall opens at 11 AM for these noon concerts.
