Veterans Monument in Front of the U. S. Post Office
The Memorial Day Parade will be on Thursday, May 30, 2024 starting at 5:45 pm.
The schedule of activities for the evening is as follows:
● Registered Participants can begin lining up on Lock Street at 4:45 p.m., and must be in line by 5:30 p.m. Please enter Lock Street from Salina Street via Wood Street only.
● Parade staff (in golf carts) will be located along Lock Street to direct you to your place in the line of march. They will also check registered participants themes *.
● A brief service will be held at the Veterans Monument in front of the U. S. Post Office on East Genesee Street at 5:45 p.m. Then the parade will head to the 4 Corners and travel south onto Oswego Street.
● The parade stops on the bridge briefly for a service honoring those servicemen lost at sea; then the parade resumes and continues down Oswego Street to take a right onto Tappan Street and the parade route ends with a left turn onto Ford Street.
● The traditional memorial services continue at Riverview Cemetery immediately following the parade. All participants are welcome as it is a lovely way to end the Memorial Day celebration.
