She was just profiled in the "Sunday Routine" column of The New York Times here.
Stormin Norman originally hails from East London UK & is a resident of Harlem. He is Founder of the summer festival Sundae Sermon. In the 90's, he was a part of the collective who made The Thunderstorm Mix on WBLS 107.5 FM, bringing live mixing to daytime radio. For over 25 years, Stormin has played legendary New York venues, exclusive downtown spots, elite private events and internationally touring. He was also named one of the top DJ's in New York City by Time Out Magazine and honored by the Harlem School of Arts for his musical & cultural impact. DJ Stormin's diverse style allows him to play in different musical scenes from Classic Disco, Funk & Soul, Classic Hip Hop, R & B, Soulful, Deep & Afro House.
Thriller NYC: Since 2004, the Thriller NYC dancers have celebrated their combined love of gore and Michael Jackson by performing the infamous Thriller dance in the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. In their words: "We are between 15 and a million years old, and our dance experience ranges from novice to professional. We eat brains, grrrrrrrrrowl and bite, but most importantly, we boogie. This Halloween, leave your mundane human life behind and transform into a rotting, dancing cadaver. After studio rehearsals, outdoor practices, and zombie makeup lessons, you'll be hungering for brains in no time.
