26th Annual City of Long Beach Fall Festival

Long Beach City Council President Brendan Finn and the the City Council are happy to announce that the 26th Annual Fall Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13 in Kennedy Plaza, located in downtown Long Beach on Park Avenue between National Boulevard and Centre Street.  All are invited to attend this family friendly Long Beach tradition and to stroll through Kennedy Plaza taking in the sights, sounds and smells of autumn. The event offers something for everyone!

The weekend’s centerpiece is the pumpkin patch filled with thousands of pumpkins waiting to be picked! A Pumpkin Bounce House, Carousel, Hay Wagon Ride, and Swinging Chairs are just some of the fun-filled kids activities returning this year. The children’s activity tent, will also return featuring fall related craft projects.  The Ferris Wheel with majestic views of are beach and bay are a must.

At noon on Saturday, children in costumes will parade from the Recreation Center to Kennedy Plaza. Awards for best costumes and other categories will be given and each child in costume will receive special treats.

There is plenty for adults too… over 40 vendors will line the plaza offering everything from pies and fresh cut flowers to jewelry and home décor. Those 21 and over are invited to visit the Food & Wine Tent for wine tastings presented by Beach Liquors. Modestly priced samplings from local restaurants will take place in the Food & Wine Tent. An array of food vendors will also be on hand offering international fare along the plaza.

Costume Parade

The City of Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation will hold its annual Halloween Costume Parade in conjunction with the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 12. This popular long-standing tradition will begin at 12:00 p.m. from Veteran's Park located at the Recreation Center Campus on Magnolia Blvd and the bay. The Costume Parade is sponsored by the Long Beach CSEA, the Commanding Officers Association and the Long Beach Professional Firefighters.

Children in grades 5 and under are invited to participate by wearing their favorite costumes. All children in costume at the Halloween Parade will receive a trick-or-treat bag filled with goodies including passes for a free public skating session at the Long Beach Ice Arena.

Line up/registration takes place at the Rec Center beginning at 1:00pm. Participants will march from Veteran’s Park to Kennedy Plaza and join in the Fall Festival. Prizes for the best costume will be awarded on the bandwagon at the end of the parade. Who will win the trophy for best costume? Come join us!

Rain Date: Sunday, October 13.

Admission to the festival is free to the public. The event will be held rain or shine. Each attraction costs $4. Non transferable pay one price (P.O.P.) wristbands providing access to all attractions are available as follows:
