GFD Fit for Duty 5K Run/Walk
Welcome to our 8th year with this family friendly 5K Run/Walk that starts at the Greenwich Firehouse located at 60 Hill Street. This is a flat, fast course that runs along quiet side streets and loops back to the firehouse. Perfect route to set a new PR or walk with family. Strollers are allowed. Sorry no dogs. Discounted registration fee to firefighters who run in gear. Gear must include liner (sneakers encouraged; no airpacks allowed). Special prize for the 1st male and the 1st female firefighters in gear. Prize for teams of 8 or more runners. Prizes also awarded for 1st overall male and female winners and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd age group winners. No duplicates.
Don’t forget to bring the kids! FREE Fit for Duty Kids Fun Run! Open to kids 0-10 years old. Kids participating in the Fun Run register the morning of the race at the firehouse; not online. Kids run immediately following the 5K.
