Gateway's Haunted Playhouse Attractions

Gateway's Haunted Playhouse, Long Island’s number one rated haunted house, returns for an all-new season of Halloween scares.

As a division of The Gateway, Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County, Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse utilizes the numerous theatrical designers and staff at the Gateway - Long Island’s oldest professional theatre. Dozens of professionally trained actors prepare and rehearse each character that inhabits the haunt, giving it a unique, theatrical quality unrivaled on the island.

These actors inhabit a carefully crafted, three-dimensional environment created and built by the Gateway’s renowned design and production team. Over 100 people are on hand every evening to ensure the smooth operation of each haunt.

Each year, a new theme, path and characters are created, giving patrons a brand new experience as they explore the walkthrough attraction.

The Midway:
The fun begins before the Haunt. Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse features a nightmare carnival on our Midway every haunt night with food, drinks, and attractions. The Midway is our queuing area, so you can sit down with a snack instead of having to stand on line, and it also makes for a perfect waiting area for those not going through the Haunt.

Food & Drink:
Our Fear Garden is open every night, and offers beers on top, and a selection of bottled beer and wine for guests 21 and older. We also serve soft drinks and snacks. Billie Jean’s Grill food truck is present on select nights, with a menu featuring Billie Burgers, Chicken Fingers, Hot Dogs, French Fries, Roasted Corn, Hot Pretzels. Pumpkin Cannollis, Apple Pie Egg Rolls, Churros, Deep Fried Oreos, and other comfort foods.
