Indulge in the drama of Haydn’s intense and thrilling Passion Symphony before immersing yourself in the love-filled world of Pablo Neruda’s poetry with Peter Lieberson’s Neruda Songs, sung by rich-voiced mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges. Hear members of the Festival Orchestra in a new light in Ginastera’s electric Variaciones concertantes. Written in 1953, the work by the Argentine composer spotlights different musicians of the ensemble in each of the 12 variations.
