The Gee-Mackey Duo program will highlight the Second Sonata of Felix Mendelssohn, full of merriment and good spirits. Music that explores the fiery nature and lyricism of Manuel de Falla will also be featured, as well as the lovely Divertimento by Franz Joseph Haydn.
The Gee-Mackey Duo, a cello and piano ensemble, has performed throughout the United States, and in Europe and Africa. More recent concerts have included a fundraising performance for the American Cathedral in Paris and an homage to Pablo Casals in the Casals Museum near Barcelona, Spain. The Duo will enjoy a tour of the Palm Beach area later this season
The concert will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown, located at 2880 Crompond Rd, Yorktown Heights, NY
