CatsWomen at Mt. VanHoevenberg
CatsWomen is a volunteer-led group that offers a welcoming environment for women of all ages and abilities to gain confidence in the outdoors through Champlain Area Trails.
Check out this 4.2-mile out-and-back trail near Lake Placid, New York. Hikers begin with a gentle climb to one of the finest views of the High Peaks after signing in. Switchbacks are used throughout the trail so that the climb is never very steep as it meanders through the woods. It gets a little steeper after this section, but the 180-degree panoramic views from the summit await ahead! This is a moderately challenging hike.
