Our Vision

The Franciscan Church of the Assumption is a community that cares for all of God’s creation and where all are welcomed and honored; singles and families, rich and poor, young and old, devout and searching, those differently abled, LGBTQ+, immigrants and refugees.  We are a vibrant, inclusive, and loving community that seeks to be financially sustainable, supported by a diverse base of volunteers who together with the friars and sisters serve the physical, mental and spiritual needs of those thirsting for meaning and purpose in Syracuse and beyond.
