There's still time left to submit your work to 440 Gallery's 20th annual Small Works Show 2024 juried by Pam Wong. This national, juried exhibition celebrates the innovation of artists who create work on a small scale, in a broad range of media and styles. The exhibition will be on display in the 440 Gallery, Park Slope, Brooklyn space from November 14 to December 20.
Open to artists who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry and who have a US shipping address. Work must be no more than 12 inches (12”) in any direction, including the framing or mounting, or video monitors. The artwork may represent any subject matter. All media-including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, sculpture in any medium, collage, printmaking, photography, and digital media-will be considered.
About the Juror
We are delighted to have Pam Wong (she/her), as this show’s juror. A Brooklyn-based writer and curator who loves contemporary art, collaborating with artists, and building community, Wong started Art Hag, a blog highlighting artists and exhibits in NYC and beyond, in 2009. For three years, she was a reporter for Bklyner.com, where she covered arts, culture, and local news in northwest Brooklyn neighborhoods, including Park Slope and Gowanus.
Pam has curated the art programming for the Gowanus Dredgers Boathouse since 2022, showcasing work by local artists and attracting visitors to the community space on the Gowanus waterfront.
She was Special Projects Director for Arts Gowanus (April 2023–June 2024) where she worked to promote, support, and advocate for local artists and the creative community.
Deadline for submissions: Wednesday, September 11, at 11:59 pm EST
