The RebFest

UNLV’s highly anticipated RebFest Arts and Music Festival returns this March, offering a platform for student artists to showcase their musical talents and compete for $1,000 in cash prizes. The festival, set for Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom, will feature live performances from UNLV students vying for top honors in two competition categories: Original Songs and Cover Songs.

Each category will offer cash prizes to winners, with a total of $1,000 up for grabs. The event aims to celebrate the diverse musical talents of UNLV’s students, providing them with an opportunity to gain recognition in front of their peers, faculty, and a wider Las Vegas audience.

In addition to the competition, RebFest will include art exhibits, interactive games, and food vendors, ensuring a full night of creative expression and entertainment. Attendees can look forward to a lively atmosphere with a mix of genres, from indie rock to jazz, showcasing the wide range of musical skills present at UNLV.

How to Participate
UNLV students interested in performing must register in advance, with submissions for both original compositions and cover songs. A panel of judges, including local musicians and industry professionals, will evaluate performances based on creativity, technical skill, and audience engagement. Student registration!
