A Guide to Unmissable St. Patrick's Day Events in New Mexico

Celebrate the Irish spirit on the one day of the year when wearing something green keeps you safe from leprechauns. There’s food and drink involved in this annual party day, plus the chance to share a little bit o’ blarney. It's time to celebrate. Here are the best places for St. Patrick's Day in New Mexico!
Marble Brewery, Albuquerque, NM
Quality, craft beers in a variety of styles are the specialty of the house. You might even find green beer at their St. Patrick’s Day festival. Live music, featuring four popular local bands, kicks off the celebration. Lift a pint of Paddy McNitro Irish Stout in honor of the wearing o’ the green.
Three Rivers Brewery, Farmington, NM
The Tap Room will be the site of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Mug Club party. What’s a mug club? It’s a loyal group of regulars, all of whom have their own beer mug. Local post-rock band, Cinematica, will play, keeping the party going all evening long. Lots of games to play including pool, darts, foosball, shuffleboard, plus there’s a big arcade full of video games. Twelve handcrafted brews on tap, as well as seasonal choices. Giveaways for those who participate.
Adobe Bar at Taos Inn, Taos, NM
On this day, the Bar transforms from a southwest adobe into an Irish pub with the music of O’Duffy’s Lament, an Irish/American music group. The sounds of bagpipes, whistles, a mandolin and a double kick bohdran will rock the house. Irish whiskeys on hand include Greenore, Knappogue Castle, Tyrconnell, 2 Gingers, Jameson and Redbreast.
Irish-American Society, Albuquerque, NM
This Society was formed to further Irish-American relations through education, travel, camaraderie, recreation, charity, music and dance. All of that is accomplished at their annual St. Patrick’s Day party. Plus, there’s food—traditional corned beef, cabbage and potato stew and Irish soda bread. Hot dogs and chips for the kids. Entertainment for the evening includes the Celtic bands, Irish Step Dancers, the New Mexico Fire and Police Pipes and Drums, and more. Tickets available online.
La Fiesta Lounge at the La Fonda Hotel, Santa Fe, NM
Come have a pint with Harvey, but don’t expect too much interaction out of this four-foot bunny statue that oversees the bar fun. The bar turns a beautiful shade of green on March 17. There will be hot Irish drinks, Guinness on tap and Black and Tan beer cocktails to drink. The menu has the standard corned beef and cabbage, plus fish and chips. Traditional Irish music will be featured on stage throughout the evening, the perfect accompaniment to an Irish jig.
Pecos Flavors Winery, Roswell, NM
The owners of this small bistro, who operate two small vineyards in the county, only serve New Mexico beer and wine. Except on St. Patrick’s Day when they host an all-day party complete with an abundance of food and drink specials. Corned beef and cabbage tops the list of Irish fare.
